Agora - Flytta på dig, du skymmer solen
Group exhibition with Ferdinand Evaldsson, Jens Masimov, Andreas Sandberg and J P Wallner.
Not Quite, Fengersfors 2024
The word ‘agora’ means marketplace in Greek and refers to the central place in the city, where people met and ideas were born, through which culture could develop, be discussed and flourish. This public space for the social, artistic, political and religious became a melting pot where thoughts crossed and knowledge was shared so that new ones could be born. The material topography created an intangible structure for the exchange of ideas that has survived to this day. Just as a square acts as the centre of the town, village and community, the exhibition is a shared central place for our respective artistic practices and expressions. Here we gather to exchange ideas and share our knowledge. Here our respective voices come together, and through meeting each other we become fully ourselves. As if by chance, we are now standing together in this exhibition space, this public place, born of the desire to talk.
